The Granary, originally the dairy and stabling for the Mill, has been renovated to a very high standard with a heavily beamed ceiling, inglenook fireplace, well-equipped kitchen and Welsh slate walls. There is ample private parking a few metres away. It is an ideal, comfortable base to explore the Welsh mountains, countryside, villages and beaches or for a relaxing break where you can wind down and recharge.
Sleeping 2-6 people, the Granary has all the modern amenities to make your stay as stress free as possible. Outside the Granary is a seating area by the stream and a BBQ for al fresco eating.
There is something for each member of a family to enjoy in an area popular for strenuous or easy walking, mountain biking and bird watching. Lake, river and sea fishing are all available locally and the busy town of Machynlleth is a few minutes’ drive or a flat 30-minute walk away.
The Granary is an ideal base for exploring the walks, mountains and beaches of North Wales or mountain biking on the famous 15km Climachx bike trail near Machynlleth which has the longest descent in Wales and also has plenty of informal free-riding.
Glyndŵr’s Way, a National Trail since 2002, passes by the Granary and a short or long walk along the trail will open up the beautiful vista of the Welsh countryside.
